For Parents and Guardians

If your athlete is under 18, Parnon asks for your consent before they can use it. This page is what you should know before giving it: what the app records, what leaves the phone, and how to remove all of it.

What Parnon is

Parnon measures athletic drills from video filmed on a phone. An athlete records a vertical jump or a sprint, the phone measures it, and the result is kept so progress is visible over time.

Age and consent

• Parnon is for athletes 13 and older. Accounts cannot be created below that age.
• Athletes under 18 must confirm during sign-up that a parent or guardian has reviewed the Terms and Privacy Policy and consents to their use of the app, including video analysis of their drills.
• We ask for your email address so we can reach you about that consent.
• A separate, optional consent covers anonymized use of data to improve training analysis. It is never bundled with the required consent, and declining it changes nothing about how the app works.
• Consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing support@parnon.app.

Video: what happens to it

This is usually the question that matters most, so plainly:

• Measurement happens on the phone. The video is analyzed on the device itself. It is not uploaded in order to be measured.
• Video is only stored if your athlete chooses to save it. After a drill they are asked whether to keep the clip. If they decline, it is discarded.
• Saved clips are private. They are kept in private storage that requires a signed link to view, and they are visible to your athlete in their own account.
• Nothing is published anywhere. Parnon does not post video, and there is no public gallery.

Apple Health stays on the device

If your athlete connects Apple Health, Parnon reads sleep and activity to save them logging it by hand. That data is used on the phone and is never sent to our servers. This is a deliberate choice: health data belongs on the device, and it is not something we want to hold. Connecting Health is optional, and each account decides for itself, even on a shared phone.

What we do store

• Account details: name, username, email, date of birth
• Your email address as the consenting parent or guardian, and when consent was given
• Drill results and body measurements the athlete records
• Anything they log by hand: season stats, sleep, soreness, injuries
• Video clips only when the athlete chooses to save them

Parnon does not sell personal information, and does not use your athlete's data for advertising. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Deleting everything

Account deletion is in the app, under Profile, Account, Delete account. It removes the profile, drill results, measurements, training log, and saved video.

There is a 14-day grace period before the deletion becomes permanent, so an account deleted by mistake can be recovered by signing back in during that window. After 14 days it is erased permanently and cannot be recovered.
