Parnon Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Information We Collect
Parnon collects the following information to provide our services:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and date of birth when you create an account (via Sign in with Apple or email sign-in). Date of birth is used to verify you are old enough to use Parnon and to show your age alongside your results.
- Parent or Guardian Email: If you are under 18, the email address of the parent or guardian who consented to your use of the app, along with when that consent was given (see Children's Privacy below)
- Optional Profile Details: A profile photo and graduation year, if you choose to add them
- Body Measurements: Height and weight entries you log over time
- Performance Data: Athletic measurements and drill results you record, such as vertical jump height and sprint times
- Training and Sports Data You Log: Game statistics, teams you join, injury records, training sessions, and sleep entries (sleep and wake times, nap length, and how rested you feel) that you choose to track. This data is private to your account.
- Apple Health Data (optional): If you connect Apple Health, Parnon reads your sleep, workouts, and activity to show you alongside your training. This is read on your device and is never uploaded. See Apple Health below.
- Video Content: Drill clips and highlight reels you choose to save. Drill videos are analyzed on your device to produce a measurement; a clip is uploaded only if you choose to keep it after the drill, and is discarded otherwise.
- Usage Analytics: How you use the app (via Google Analytics for Firebase), so we can improve it
- Crash and Diagnostic Data: Crash reports and basic performance information (via Firebase Crashlytics), so we can fix what breaks
- Device Information: Basic device and app version information
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Parnon service
- Analyze your drill videos on your device to produce athletic measurements
- Store your results so you can track your progress over time
- Sync your data across your devices
- Improve app performance and features
- Provide customer support
Video Processing
Drill measurements are produced by analyzing video directly on your device. No video is uploaded in order to be measured. After a drill you are asked whether to keep the clip: if you decline, it is discarded, and if you keep it, it is uploaded and stored privately in your account. Saved clips and highlight reels are only playable through short-lived signed links while you are signed in, and you can delete either at any time from within the app.
Apple Health
Connecting Apple Health is optional, and Parnon works fully without it. If you connect it, Parnon requests read-only access and never writes anything back to Apple Health.
Parnon reads your sleep, workouts, steps, distance, active energy, and recovery signals such as resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and VO2 max. These are read fresh on your device each time you open the app, and used only to show you your own numbers. They are not uploaded to our servers, not stored in iCloud by us, and not shared with anyone.
There is no exception to this. Nothing Parnon reads from Apple Health is written to your account, not even a single number. Where Apple Health measured a night, Parnon shows that reading beside the bedtime and wake time you typed in, but only the times you entered yourself are saved. Disconnect Apple Health and the readings simply stop appearing; nothing has to be deleted from our servers, because nothing was ever stored there.
Data read from Apple Health is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with data brokers. You can revoke access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Parnon.
Sharing
Nothing you record is shared with anyone unless you share it yourself. The app can generate a shareable athlete card (name, photo, class year, height, weight, age, and the verified results and season stats you choose to include); it is created only when you tap share. The card is produced on your device as an image and handed to your phone's own share sheet, so you choose who receives it and it is not published anywhere by us. If you join a team, your name is visible to other members of that team. We do not offer recruiter or coach access to your data today; if we add it, visibility will be off by default and controlled by you.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using trusted third-party infrastructure:
- Account and performance data are stored using Firebase services provided by Google
- Uploaded highlight reels are stored privately using Cloudflare
- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- We follow industry-standard security practices
- Your videos and personal data are private to your account
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers needed to operate the app
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile > Account > Delete account). Your data is kept for 14 days as a safety window, during which signing back in restores your account. After 14 days, your account and all associated data, including profile, results, logs, and uploaded videos, are permanently and irreversibly deleted.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Update or correct your information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data
- Contact us with privacy concerns
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@parnon.app.
Children's Privacy
Parnon is for athletes 13 and older. The app requires a date of birth showing an age of at least 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@parnon.app and we will delete it.
Athletes under 18 also need a parent or guardian's consent to use Parnon. During signup (or, for existing accounts, before continuing to use the app), the athlete provides a parent or guardian's email address and confirms that the parent or guardian has reviewed these terms and this policy and consents to the athlete's use of the app, including on-device video analysis of drills. We record the email address and the date of consent, and we may contact that address to confirm. A parent or guardian can withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@parnon.app; withdrawing consent closes the athlete's account and deletes its data as described under Account Deletion.
Optional Consent: Improving Insights and AI Features
Separately from the consent required to use the app, you can allow Parnon to use anonymized data to improve training insights and AI features. This consent is optional and is never required to use the app. For athletes under 18, only a parent or guardian can grant it, and it can only be changed by contacting support@parnon.app. Athletes 18 and older control it themselves in the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app. Changes are effective when posted.
